The Carta system allows applicants to submit online recommendation requests. When an applicant requests that you complete a recommendation, you will receive a “Recommendation Request” email notifying you of the details of the request. 

The email will contain a Recommendation ID# and the name of the applicant who issued the request. Click on the link provided and enter the ID# and applicant’s last name in order to access the online recommendation form.

The email also gives you the option of accessing the recommendation form by logging into the Carta system.  You will either be instructed to login using a username and password furnished in the message; or you will be instructed to use your ASC network user name and password (or secure campus login credentials). Logging into the Carta system will allow you to view all of your pending requests as well as any previously submitted recommendations. If you wish to access this at any time, you can visit the Carta site and click the "Login" link at the top right-hand part of the screen.
